2020 Retrospective with New Photos

Looking back at 2020, I've made some big changes since sharing the Recovery Kit in 2019. 2020 was the birth of the Quick Kit, still the easiest way to get a Raspberry Pi 4 into a Pelican case. I am sitting on a pile of unpublished photos, and since it's taking me so long to get the recycled builds project off the ground, I thought I'd share a few photos with comments, and then a whole bunch of photos without any. There's always been a few commissions over the years, and I hope you enjoy the pics here. As I wrap up June I expect to have the first recycle build ready to give to a member in late July- hopefully I can keep things fresh through the end of 2024 with some new builds. Thanks for subscribing and revisiting these old photos with me!

This is my first set of building large-scale commissions, and boy was this stressful! These main 3D printed frames were hard to get perfect on the Prusa i3, and usually it took nearly a spool of filament of tries to get one without blemishes- the frame ran right around the edge of the Prusa build plate.
This is a previously unpublished candidate for the article that both Hackaday and Adafruit picked up- both of their communities and coverage have been so central to getting me here and teaching me about inclusive and welcoming hacking communities.
I still love that harness wire! It was off Ebay and is long gone by now.
One of my early (and moody) photos of different prototypes, including both FDM and resin prints.
Never super popular, this was the single sheet plastic frame for the Quick Kit. I think these smoked plexiglass frames were $8 each.
