the Metal Kit

The idea for this build is simple- make a portable Raspberry Pi-based computer that is rugged, simple, and good looking.  There are no 3D printed parts, instead I use Send Cut Send for laser cutting and powder coating the two aluminum parts.  I also had a Sixfab Raspberry Pi UPS “hat” laying around, so this build includes a battery too.

The pins for the Raspberry Pi are also exposed on the back, so if you have a low profile board there’s a tiny bit more room.  I also have pre-set holes on the front that you can enlarge for things like SMA radio adapters, etc.

The parts list is below, which includes some referral links.  These referral links do not increase your cost, but do help me out and fund future projects.
